California Girl At Heart

I recently took the boys to California for their Uncle Anthony's High School Graduation.  Mike couldn't get anytime off work....but we thought it was important to for me and the boys to go still.  We are so proud of Anthony! He's now headed into the Marines.  I'm gonna miss him. He's really like my little brother. Good Luck Farm!!  Anyways, this was the first time that Mike's family had seen Ryker.  And of course he stole all of their hearts!  He just adored his Grandma Charlotte and Papa John.  They were so sweet with him. I didn't seem to have my camera at all the right moments...but trust me....they were cute! 
After we visited with Mike's family for about a week, we headed over to parents house to spend some time. It made me realize I MISS HOME! I'm definitely a California Girl.  We went to the beach, downtown Disney, and got to see lots of friends.  Hunter still asks me, "When are we going back to Chino?" Hopefully soon!

Class of 2010!!!

I took the boys to visit a close friend/family member. She passed away when Hunter was only a few months old. I really wish my boys could have known her. Anyways, I actually got a smile from both them!

Many people have been getting after me because it's been months since I've posted anything. Sorry! I'll try to play some catch up now.
Hunter is loving the summer! The poor kid was cooped up all winter and is so excited to go outside and play. He's up by 8am and outside playing with friends until I call him in for dinner. I don't know what he's going to do once all the kids go back to school! I guess he's gonna be stuck with boring old mom.  Hunter definitely keeps me on my toes.  The other night (after I tucked him in bed) I walked into my bathroom to find this.......

He totally tried to set me up! When I asked him about he said, "Did you pee on yourself mom?" He thought he was SO funny. What am I going to do?

Ryker is getting big WAY too fast.  Where is my little baby? Ryker is crawling, talking, and eating like a pro.  And I am proud to announce that his first word was..."Mama"!!!! I was so excited! And now he totally uses it to his advantage. He knows that if he says "Mama" I will come running. Who could ignore a cute little voice like his?  Ryker's favorite thing to do is wrestle with Mike and Hunter. He will crawl up to them and start smacking them while screaming. It's really hilarious!  I'm not sure how big he is...but he has his 9 month check up on Tues....so I'll post something then.

And as far as Mike and I are concerned. We are doing great! Mike works hard and long hours. And I'm at home with the boys! I love being able to stay home with them.  I love my BOYS!!!

5 Months

Ryker is growing up WAY to fast! I can't believe that he is 5 months already.  It's hard to believe because he is so much smaller than Hunter was.  He still only weighs about 13lbs.  But believe me...he LOVES to eat! I'm sure he will catch up soon enough.  Here are some things that he is doing now:
--smiling and laughing
--eating solid food
--holding onto toys and putting everything in his mouth
--crying when he sees mommy and I don't acknowledge him!
--sleeping through the night (most nights)
--taking 3 naps a day
--pulls himself to standing when he holds onto your fingers

Ryker and Hunter are best friends.  I know a lot of people say that about their kids...but they really are!  First thing in the morning Hunter runs in and cuddles with Ryker.  And as soon as Ryker hears Hunter's voice he grins and starts talking to him.  It's so fun to watch them interact.  Sometimes I swear they can understand each other. Hunter likes to talk to Ryker about everything that is going on.  Things like "Ryker, mommy won't let me have ice cream  for breakfast.  Do you think I should have ice cream? You do...Tell mommy."  And he says all this in a high pitched baby voice! It's hilarious.  I hope that this never changes.  I know that they will go through the normal sibling fighting...but in the end I hope they stay good friends.  Here are some pictures from this last month.

This is my favorite! I laugh out loud every time I see it! This is what I found when I got out of the shower! He was so embarrassed because he couldn't get out! 

California

About 2 weeks ago I was able to take the boys down to California to visit my parents and attend my BF's baby shower.  Unfortunetly, Mike wasn't able to go.  He had to work and make the money!  I was a little nervous to fly with the boys by myself, but they did really well.  Gotta love JetBlue and their satellite TV!  Anyways, it was wonderful to be in the nice warm and sunny weather.  Not to mention how fun it was to see my sister and her 4 kids.  They have gotten SO big! We didn't do too much in the week we were there.....but that's exactly how I wanted it.  We did a lot of visiting with friends and hanging out with GaGa and PaPa.  Hunter never once asked to go home and cried when we got on the plane to come back.  He still begs me to take him to the airport to go back to "GaGa's house".  I was really bad at taking pictures this trip.  I was having too much fun to remember to get my camera out.  I did take some pictures of my nieces and nephews.

4 Months

I can't believe that Ryker is already four months old. He had his well child check up this week and was almost 13lbs.  So, he's still pretty little. ( A lot smaller than Hunter was!!!!)  But he thinks he's all grown up!  I have no idea where the time went. He brings so much joy and laughter to our family.  He really is the best baby ever. He sleeps all night, takes great naps, and only cries if he's hungry or needs a diaper change.  Ryker smiles ALL the time.  All you have to do is look at him and he lights up.  His favorite person is his older brother Hunter.  They have the best time together.  When Ryker wakes up from his morning nap, Hunter runs in and climbs in the crib with him.  They play and laugh in there for about 30 min!
Ryker is eating solid foods now.  And just like everything else....he eats great for me!  He eats rice cereal and and pears.  We just started banana's and I think that's his favorite so far.  We just bought him a little bumbo chair (Thanks Grandma and Grandpa Child!) He loves to just sit in it and watch everyone around him.  We are really so lucky to have him in our family.  I'm not sure how we got along without him.  Anyways, here are some pictures of him!
